Samir has an Evangelical background but currently lives in an area where there are no Evangelical churches. So once he heard about AWEMA’s annual conference, he decided to join. Over the course of a few years, we have been following up with him and his wife and children, and we have been seeing growth in his life.
Samir was finally set free from the bitterness he had harbored towards his father
Because of a dispute over financial matters, Samir had a broken relationship with his father and had been unable to forgive him, as Samir was convinced that he had been treated with injustice. In one of our monthly prayer times, as we were praying for forgiveness to others, Samir was finally set free from the bitterness he had harbored towards his father. He prayed in tears and sought God’s forgiveness and healing. Samir immediately called his father and explained why he was deeply hurt and their conversation led to reconciliation.
Samir’s eyes were opened to see God’s generosity, and freedom and joy replaced the feelings of injustice and oppression.
