In a poor country where economy has been deteriorating fast and with nine children to care for, Safaa decided to make and sell alcohol, which is profitable but illegal in her country. She and her husband, who often got drunk, were constantly fighting until their marriage ended in divorce. With her husband’s financial support gone, she had to work more to provide for her children. She rarely went to church and she had poor relationships with her neighbors.
Safaa was arrested and imprisoned. In prison, she began to attend the chapel services. The Lord touched her heart and she decided to repent and follow Christ. She asked us to pray for her to find a job after her release.
After serving her sentence, Safaa was released a changed person. She started a microbusiness which helps her afford for her family.
After having been anxious and withdrawn, she became cheerful and open to others. At the church she has been regularly attending, people say that she loves to encourage others and praise the Lord joyfully and with all her strength!
“Thank God for my changed life, my new work, and the good relationships I now have with my neighbors.”
