Church Planting
Evangelism
Discipleship
Ministry training
Why is there a need for church planting?
Many people, including nominal Christians, in the Arab World haven’t yet heard the Good News. And when they hear it and make a decision to follow Christ, they need to be part of a group of believers with whom they may be nurtured, discipled and trained for ministry.
AWEMA has planted churches in six nations.
Partnering with local churches
AWEMA partners with local churches who have a vision for expanding their ministry into unreached or least reached areas, but have no workers. We do the church planting work on their behalf and then transfer the new church-plant to them.
Help us reach more people with the Good News and disciple new believers.
Working in places with Christian presence but no Bible-based, gospel-centered ministry
In areas with nominal Christians, our approach is to find a key person who introduces us to the community. We start with home visits, where we share the gospel, teach the Bible, provide pastoral care, disciple new believers and train them for ministry.
Working in places with no Christian presence
In communities where there are no Christians at all, we usually start with a community development project. As we build bridges with the people and they become more open to the gospel, we share Christ with them, disciple new believers and train them for ministry.
We always work towards helping the church-plant become autonomous. After a pastor is appointed to lead the church, we gradually withdraw and move to another area.
