Ibrahim, his wife and their 12 children are refugees in an Arab country. When we were first introduced to Ibrahim, we noticed that he had bitterness towards the people of the host country, given the history between both countries.
AWEMA helped Ibrahim in various ways, including with his rent and medical surgeries. “AWEMA always stands by me,” says Ibrahim.
Ibrahim’s relationship with God flourished. He describes how he has been leading his family in devotional time. “We all sit on the floor, including the little one who can’t talk yet. Someone starts by prayer, another reads Scripture, I explain the Word to them, someone else prays, and finally we conclude with the Lord’s prayer.”
Ibrahim had two spinal surgeries and has a long-term illness. He writes worship songs, even while being confined to bed. He also testifies to God’s goodness and love to anyone who visits him.
